Manny Diaz who was the former Miami Hurricanes head coach, and defensive coordinator at Penn State accepted the job from Nina King after Mike Elko left the program to return to College Station.
Notably, Nina King reassured the media that she wouldn't ask for a timetable from the new coach, and would support any decision a coach would make on their future for other openings that could potentially be their dream job elsewhere.
