NC State Wolfpack men's basketball team during Wednesday night ACC/SEC challenge fought tooth and nail in the Lenovo Center with the Longhorns til the last seconds, ultimately falling short 63-59 on its home court. The challenge, which has been anything of left the Wolfpack once again finding it's identity, closer, and chemistry on a team that lost over 40% of it's scoring from last years final four squad.

Kevin Keatts during the week cited the team's desire for geling and playing together, which evidently will take time to prosper; but with the conferences output the Wolfpack will need to start piling wins in a hurry if it hopes to avoid last years must-win scenario during the conference tournament to get into the Big Dance.

Hoya transfer combo guard Dontrez Styles led the Pack with 17 points with senior Marcus Hill contributing 16 points and Brandon Huntley-Hatfield adding 10. Floor general Michael O'Connell added 7 dimes with 6 boards.

Longhorns Kadin Shedrick return home featured a game sealing block to lift the Longhorns with a 63-59 victory.

The Pack are on the midst of a 3-game skid with conference play looming Sunday against Florida State; the matchup versus the Seminoles this early in the season is a must win game for the Pack.
