Lady Blue Devils Sting Yellow Jackets For Another Top 20 Marquee Win

The 14th ranked Duke Blue Devils on back to back road matchups defeated the #18 ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 55-50, giving the Blue Devils another key marquee top 20 win.


The Story

On the season Duke has held 13 opponents below 60 points; Georgia tech became the 8th consecutive opponent to become a victim to Coach Kara Lawsons suffocating ball deny defense.

Duke allowed just 5 single points in the fourth marking the 2nd consecutive game where the Blue Devils allowed single points in a quarter. In addition, this marked a season low for Georgia Tech in field goals made (21), and hitting just a single perimeter shot which concludes to the perimeter defense of Duke.


Delaney Thomas, Taina Mair, and Oluchi Okananwa all contributed 12 points a piece.

Next up for the Blue Devils concludes a 3-game road trip as they head to Raleigh to face the #20 NC State Wolfpack.
