The #16 ranked Duke Blue Devils welcomed new comer California into Cameron Indoor on a night they will wish never occurred in a 34 point blowout loss, loosing 72-38. This marked the fewest points allowed in program history against a ranked opponent. Thursday night also marked Duke's annual Mark Black Excellence Night.
Freshman Toby Fournier returned back to dominating fashion finishing with her first double-double on the year, 23 points and 11 boards.
The Twins, Reigan Richardson and Ashlon Jackson both contributed double figures with 16 and 14 points. Bench production played a role here where the Blue Devils outscored the Bears 34-15.
Taina Mair, the floor general tallied 5 dimes and 4 steals. The defense was the story turning California over 31 times, which was a season high, only giving up 38 points also a season high . Other season lows were three point field goals made, and three point percentage.
