The ACC just announced its Week 1 men's basketball weekly honors with Duke sharpshooter Kon Knueppell being named ACC Rookie of the Week.
During both of Duke's win over Army and Maine the marksman shot nearly 60% from the field (56.5) and 50% from downtown. During the opener Knueppell scored 22 points, hitting 3 of 8 from downtown.
In the second matchup against Army, the freshman scored a team high 15 points, including 5 of 9 from the field, 4 of 6 from deep.
The freshman has been sky rocketting up NBA draft boards in recent memory with scouts having him being selected in the first round.
The Blue Devils announced today on Veterans Day the Blue Devils will travel to West Point next season with Army returning to Cameron in 2026.
Coach Scheyer stated, "It's a priviledge to have the opportunity to play at West Point, to be in their culture, to be tested on the road early in the season, and to experience something that's more meaningful than just a basketball game"
