Can Kevin Keatts Turn It Around For Wolfpack

Wednesday night giving up a second half 34-16 run to the Hokies on the road, potentially put the NC State Wolfpack into danger zone. 9-8 on the season, including under .500 in conference play dooms a lot of teams. 2-4 in a down year within the ACC, with trips still at Duke, at UNC, Louisville, and Clemson where they'll be the underdog is a huge task for Kevin Keatts.

If anyone has a fighting chance at making history again, don't put it past Kevin Keatts.

Of course, the 15 point lead in the second half marked the second time this season where the Pack gave up huge double digit leads ultimately losing;

The Pack leaning heavy on senior Marcus Hill to be the primary ball scorer hurts efficiency and makes the Pack one dimensional. Depth at the skill positions limits what Keatts can do from a scheme aspect.

Before the ACC tournament last season Coach Kevin Keatts was on the hot seat. We are not implying that sentiment after just making the schools first final four in over 40 years a season ago. What we are implying is that the transfer portal may have not benefitted the Pack as expected, losing 40% of its' teams scoring from a season ago.

Even in a down year, the Pack are struggling to close out games, and find it's identity half way through the season. Can we blame everything on coaching? Certainly not; But when do we start to look at Coach Keatts at the teams response in crucial moments.?
